今回取り上げる話題は、

先頭部のエキサイティング空間

です。

全自動無人運転の AGT の魅力の

ひとつに、乗客が運転席に座って

前方の景色を楽しめるというのが

あります。

子どもたちにとって AGT の運転席に 座れるか座れないか、ドキドキしながら 乗り込んだ電車で、運転席がカップルや 別の親子に占有されていたら失望感も 大きいでしょうね。

そんな時にも、子どもたちを失望

させないために、ゆりかもめや 日暮里・舎人ライナー３３０形は、

先頭部分に縦に長い手摺がつけられて います。 これは、運転席より更に前のフロント ガラスに近いところに立って、 子どもたちが手摺の下側を、 大人が手摺の上側を握りながら 前方の景色を楽しめるための工夫です。

更に、手摺の周辺は一切のとがった ところがないように丸みを帯びた

デザインにして、怪我の心配なく

子どもたちが楽しめるように配慮

されています。

列車の最先端に立って移動できる

という全自動無人運転の AGTならでは のスペースは、大人にとっても

エキサイティングな経験のようで、 ゆりかもめでは大人の外国人のグループ が興奮しているのをよく見かけます。

Exciting Space at the front end of the

train

One of the attractions of the fully

automated, unmanned AGT is that passengers can sit in the driver's seat and enjoy the view ahead.

For children, it would be a great

disappointment if the driver's seat is occupied by a couple or another

parent and child on a train that they are excited to board, wondering whether they will be able to sit in the driver's seat of an AGT or not.

To avoid disappointing children,

the Yurikamome and Nippori-Toneri Liner Type 30 trains are equipped with a long handrail at the front of the train.

This is so that children can stand

further in front of the driver's seat, closer to the windshield, and enjoy the view ahead while holding the bottom of the handrail and the top of the handrail for adults.

Furthermore, the area around the

handrail has been designed to be

rounded, with no sharp edges, so

that children can enjoy the ride without fear of injury.

The unique space of AGT, a fully

automated, unmanned train, where visitors can stand at the front end of the train, seems to be an exciting experience for adults as well, and we often see groups of foreigners excitedly enjoying the experience on the Yurikamome.
