今回取り上げる話題は

パークアンドライド設備

です。

駅から自宅まで

歩いていけるか

バスに乗らないといけないかは、

通勤時間に大きな違いがでます。

雨の日以外は、自転車を利用する 手もあります。

日暮里・舎人ライナーは、 2008年に営業を開始した 日本のAGTで最も新しい 9.7km、13駅の路線です。

各駅の周辺には2～3か所の駐輪場が あり、全駅合わせると区営だけで 一時預かりが約600台、 定期預かりが約1500台の収容力が あり、駐輪場の多さではそれまでの

AGT の駅とは一線を画しています。 終点の見沼代親水公園駅には、

すぐそばの県境を越えて

埼玉県川口市からくる方も

多くおられます。

終点駅に自転車だけでなく、 パークアンドライドのできる駐車場が

あれば、もっと遠くの住民も利用できる ようになります。

ニューシャトルの終点の内宿駅には、 パークアンドライドの駐車場があり、 多くの方が利用しています。

沖縄のモノレール、ゆいレールの終点の てだこ浦西駅には、 多層のパークアンドライドの駐車場が あり、周辺の新興住宅街地のセールス ポイントになっています。

Park-and-Ride Facilities

Whether you can walk from the

station to your home or have to

take the bus makes a big

difference in commuting time.

Except on rainy days, you can also

use a bicycle.

The Nippori-Toneri Liner is

Japan's newest AGT line, which

began operations in 2008 with 9.7

km and 13 stations.

There are two or three bicycle

parking lots around each station,

and the total capacity of all

stations combined is

approximately 600 temporary

storage spaces and 1,500 regular

storage spaces in the ward

management alone, setting it

apart from previous AGT stations

in terms of the number of bicycle

parking spaces available.

Many visitors to the terminal

station, Minuma-dai Shinsui

Koen Station, come from

Kawaguchi City, Saitama

Prefecture, just across the

prefectural border.

If the terminal station had a

parking lot that could

accommodate not only bicycles

but also park-and-ride vehicles,

residents from further away

would be able to use the station.

There is a park-and-ride lot at

Uchijuku Station, the terminus of

the New Shuttle, and many

people use it.

Tedako-Uranishi Station, the

terminus of Okinawa's monorail,

Yui Rail, has a multi-story park-

and-ride lot that has become a

selling point for the surrounding

new residential neighborhoods.
